Event details: The 2026 Farmsafe Australia National Ag Day Conference brings together farmers, industry leaders, researchers, government and innovators from across Australia to explore one of agriculture’s biggest opportunities; creating a culture where safer choices become the normal way of doing business.

The program will explore the latest thinking on farm safety, leadership, behaviour change, child safety, data, innovation and emerging risks, while showcasing practical ideas that participants can take home and apply in their own businesses and communities.

Our program includes Marsella and Wiremu Edmonds, futurist Melissa Clark-Reynolds, behaviour change expert Dom Thurbon, all six of our Safer Farmers Ambassadors, and a range of other voices from across agriculture and beyond.

Event details: Turn Bale Twine into Treasure for National Ag Day

Residents across NSW are being challenged to transform something often overlooked on farms into works of art, practical creations and community treasures.

The Australian Agricultural Centre has launched the National Ag Day Bale Twine Repurposing Challenge, encouraging schools, families, farmers, community groups and makers to collect used bale twine and give it a new purpose instead of leaving it in paddocks or sending it to landfill.

Held as part of National Agriculture Day on Friday, 20 November 2026, the event celebrates this year’s theme, “Our Farmers, Our Future,” while highlighting how simple actions can help protect our environment.

Participants can create their projects before the event or join the community maker day, where instructors from Sunnydaze Textiles and the Pejar Local Aboriginal Land Council will guide participants through weaving techniques and cultural storytelling.

Creative entries might include woven mats, baskets, garden art, sculptures, practical farm items, animal feeders or completely original ideas.

The event also supports STEM education by introducing participants to environmental science, materials science, engineering and circular economy principles through hands-on learning.

Winning entries will be displayed in a travelling exhibition throughout the region, giving the wider community an opportunity to celebrate local creativity and innovation.

Event details: National Agriculture Day – Celebrating Where Our Food Comes From.
National Agriculture Day is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to celebrate the vital role agriculture plays in our everyday lives and recognise the people who help grow, produce and provide the food we enjoy.
To celebrate, students and staff will come together for a special Agriculture Long Lunch, with food featuring produce grown right here at Home Hill State High School. From our school gardens and protected cropping facility to the fresh produce grown by our Agriculture students, the lunch provided a delicious reminder of the journey from paddock to plate.
The event will showcase the skills and hard work of our Agriculture students while highlighting the incredible opportunities available within the food and fibre industry. It was also a chance to celebrate the connections between our school, local industry and the wider community.
Most importantly, National Agriculture Day will provide an opportunity to recognise that agriculture is all around us — in the food we eat, the products we use, the people we work alongside and the careers available to our young people.

Event details: For National Agriculture Day, Home Hill State High School students will celebrate the journey of food from paddock to plate by growing, harvesting and enjoying fresh produce from our school agricultural facilities. Through our “Grow It. Eat It. Share It!” activities, students will experience firsthand how food is produced, while celebrating the people, innovation and industries that make Australian agriculture possible. From planting and caring for crops to harvesting and tasting the final product, HHSHS students will discover that agriculture is something we can all grow, learn about and enjoy! Students will enjoy a number of different foods during the lunch.

Event details: Join us for a Paddock to Plate Farm Tour of ‘Cloudbreak’, our Free-Range Beef Cattle property, in the beautiful Eungella hinterland, surrounded by mist-shrouded Eungella National Park. Celebrate National Agriculture Day with us, in the ‘Land of Clouds’. Help us celebrate the people, places and passion behind the food and fibre that sustains us all.
Be greeted by home-made scones, jam, and fresh Chantilly cream featuring Eungella’s Cannonbee Honey, with tea and coffee.
Join us for a paddock walk, experience cattle feeding, learn about local history, ecology, soil and pasture health, and Australian Lowline Cattle husbandry.
Then enjoy our ‘Ploughman’s Lunch’ featuring our own ‘Eungella Lowline Beef’ silverside, crusted in local herbs & spices, paired with artisan bread, our signature zesty tomato relish, mango chutney, & caramelised onion relish, specialty cheese, the freshest local seasonal produce, & a dash of locally-made sweet chilli sauce featuring lime. Accompanied by a sparkling bottle of locally-brewed non-alcoholic ginger beer, using aromatic, fresh local ginger, from Goanna Brewing.
Enjoy table service within our rustic old dairy, decorated to provide a beautiful ambience, and protection from the elements – after all, Eungella is the ‘Land of Clouds’.

Event details:Join the Rural Press Club of Queensland as we celebrate National Agriculture Day with a special address from Hamish McIntyre, President of the National Farmers’ Federation.
Reflecting this year’s National Agriculture Day theme, Our Farmers, Our Future, Hamish will share his insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping Australian agriculture and the vital role our farmers play in the nation’s future.
Hamish is also Managing Director of McIntyre Agriculture, a family-owned Queensland agribusiness spanning 236,000 hectares. Its diverse operations include cropping, livestock breeding, feedlot operations and broiler chicken production.
Elected NFF President in October 2025, Hamish brings extensive experience across agronomy, cotton, irrigation development and corporate agriculture. He also serves on the boards of the Australian Wagyu Association and Australian Made Campaign Limited.
This promises to be an insightful and timely address from one of Australian agriculture’s leading voices.

Event details: Meet the people who grow your food. As part of AgDay, the Upper Plenty Merri Catchments Landcare Group and The Shack Committee invite you to a day celebrating local food and the farmers behind it, at the Shack in Upper Plenty, Central Victoria, on Saturday 21 November from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Browse stalls from local producers selling fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, lamb, beef, pork and heritage poultry, alongside other regional food makers. Stay for freshly cooked food, homemade cakes, tea and coffee, and go in the running to win a hamper of local produce.

Throughout the day, guest speakers will share what it really takes to produce food, why buying local matters, and how sustainable and regenerative farming is changing the land around us. You’ll also hear about local food networks and practical pathways if you’ve ever thought about becoming a producer yourself.

Whether you’re a keen cook, a curious family, a small landholder or a would-be farmer, come and meet the land and the people who work it. All welcome.
