Little calf rescued by truckies during cattle loading
I observed two truckies at Roma saleyards in July 2023 rescuing a little calf that got separated from its mum and ran into the wrong crate. If it stayed there it would have gotten trampled by the next group of steers moving close. The truckies were able to stop the process, lift the calf out and on top of the crate and then carried it in their arms while balancing over the top to bring it back to its mother. Despite being under time pressure, they accepted to delay the entire loading by 15 minutes. These guy have definitely done a good thing!
